Chez Turtle is the home of two lunatic game geeks, Voltbang and Chelona. Almost every week for the past five years, Chez Turtle has hosted a board games night. There have also been Poker nights, DDR parties, and other gaming centric events, but board games are the foundation this house was built on. The idea has been to host a games oriented micro-convention, with all the wierdness that comes with your average run of the mill SF/Gaming convention.
Our focus is on friendly competetion, not winning at all costs. Please check your ego at the door, the focus here is on playing the game.
ALLERGY ALERT: We do have one cat (Kimmie)! She is a generic domestic short hair indoor kitty with claws.
Chez Turtle is open to all forms and flavors. We have old school D&D nerds, we have collectable card gamers with their suitcases of cards, we have the mathmaticians, we have the anime fanboys, we have the people who just came for the late night parties behind closed doors, and we have the clueless newbies who just want to try out some new games with some new people. We have trekkies, harry potter fans, B5 fanatics, horror movie conniseurs, not to mention a published author or two. We count among our guests people who are members of almost every alternate sexuality community I am aware of. The only people who don't fit in here are the ones who can't tolerate a hefty dose of diversity.
